Women in Defence Awards finalists

Two RLC finalists have made the finals of the UK Women in Defence Awards which aim to inspire women to succeed authentically and encourage talent at all levels in the defence sector.

Lieutenant Colonel Deborah Taylor from Sandhurst has been nominated for the STEM in Defence Award sponsored by Northrop Grumman.

Meanwhile, Sergeant Emma Smith has been nominated for the Special Award sponsored by DXC Technology

The awards, now in their third year, saw over 300 nominations received from across the defence community including the Armed Forces, MOD Civil Service, GCHQ, MI5 and SIS, defence industry, the defence third sector and the Houses of Parliament Security.

The winners will be announced by the Secretary of State for Defence, The Rt Hon Gavin Williamson CBE MP, on 6 Nov 2018.

ABF South East hosted an incredible Inter-Regiment Dragon Boat Race last Sunday.
