The RLC Bari Cup – Hockey Competition

The RLC Bari Cup Hockey Competition concluded last week with the following results:
· Winner of the Bari Cup ‘ 17 Port & Maritime Regt· Winner of the Kirby Bowl ‘ 9 Regt

· Winner of the Festival Shield ‘ 3 Regt

· Winner of the Veteran’s Stick for competiveness ‘ 4 Regt

Nearly 100 players from across the Corps competed, including Reserves, forming two pools of six teams, each team comprising of 6-10 squad members, male and female.

Background planning was led by Capt J Gates (currently assigned to 3XX) with resource (works party and equipment) kindly provided by 9 Regt.

President of RLC Hockey, Brig Hutchings, was in attendance on Day 1 of the competition and Chairman RLC Hockey, Col Donoghue, was on hand to congratulate all the players at the end of the competition on Day 2.

Next: We are planning for the milestone 75th Anniversary of the Bari Cup competition in 2017 and hoping to align this event with the Corps Open Day on 8 Jul 17.

ABF South East hosted an incredible Inter-Regiment Dragon Boat Race last Sunday.
