@armybenevolentfund hosted an incredible Inter-Regiment Dragon Boat Race last Sunday. Eight Royal Logistic Corps regiments gave it their all, but in the end, 27 Regiment took home the coveted trophy.A huge thank you to Henley Dragonboat & Outrigger Racing Team for the boats, and to everyone who came out to support ABF The Soldiers' Charity. What an unforgettable day of racing, family fun, and camaraderie! To all interested, next year's event will take place on the 7th of September 2025.Picture credits: Tim Davies

Acts of charity come in many forms, but few are as life-changing as giving a part of yourself to save another. Private Rob Brookes-Wardle, a Port Operator with 52 Squadron, 17 Port & Maritime Regiment RLC, did exactly that when he donated bone marrow and stem cells to help save Demi, a young girl in the USA battling a rare immune disorder.Rob’s selfless act gave Demi a second chance at life, and they finally met at the DKMS London Gala, an emotional reunion after years of connection.If you're inspired to join the bone marrow register, find out more at @dkms_uk or NHS Blood and Transplant website.

The RLC Aquatics open water swimming team made his

The RLC Aquatics open water swimming team made history! Led by WO1 Shawn Bailey MBE, the incredible team completed a two-way swim across the English Channel, from England to France and back again, with a total swim time of 22 hours and 16 minutes.This phenomenal achievement marks them as the first ever mixed military relay team to conquer this feat, and the first in RLC history to do so. Since 1875, only 48 other teams have achieved this, and they are the only military team this century to join them.Through relentless training, unshakable determination, and exceptional skill, they also raised £7885 for military charities during our journey.
