Supporting Wounded Veterans Skihabilition week – Klosters/Switzerland

Supporting Wounded Veterans (SWV) is looking for veterans from across the UK to participate in an exciting, fun and challenging week of skiing from 6th – 12th March 2023.

Founded in 2012, SWV provides six comprehensive pathways, including sporting events, mentoring, pain management and employment, that enable former UK servicemen and women, physically or mentally wounded, to move forward from rehabilitation to employment in the transition from military discharge to civilian life.

For many veterans, this transition can be difficult. Now in its tenth year, the ski event offers a transformative break to help start a new phase in the transition to civilian life as well as helping to bring together groups of veterans in an environment that allows people to be challenged and have fun.

Application details

The trip is open to veterans from across the Tri-Services, particularly those who may be finding transition from the Services difficult. Applicants must be able to provide proof of service upon request and will need a valid passport.

The cost of the trip is covered by SWV (less travel to the airport) and all meals and drinks will be provided.

No skiing experience necessary.

If there are any COVID restrictions, travellers will be required to be vaccinated and provide proof of vaccination according to Switzerland’s guidelines.

Applicants must attend a short interview (approx. half an hour) as part of the selection process and will be asked to disclose any prescribed treatments.
