Serving Army Officer publishes travel book

A serving Army Officer has written a travel book which includes his escapades whilst serving in The Royal Logistic Corps.

Captain Luke Edwards, who grew up in Tunbridge Wells, joined the Army in 2014 aged 19 and commissioned into The RLC.

His book ‘Travel Escapades: Adventures and upsets around the world’, details his experiences during deployment Germany, Canada and Somalia and his own personal travels to over 80 countries around the world.

The book takes the reader along for the ride to some remote locations and into some extremely interesting situations. Think falling off mountains in the Himalayas, riding ore trains through the Sahara Desert and being arrested crossing the Panama Canal.

It’s an impressive read for a boy who by his own admission was “distinctly average” at school, having dropped English as a GCSE and being diagnosed with dyslexia.

Capt Edwards said his book will either spark wanderlust in the reader or put them off backpacking forever.
