The final event took place at Worthy Down Barracks where WO1 (RSM) Muir RLC was supported by the team from the Corps HQ as he completed the final five miles of his 915-mile total (the distance from Lands’ End to John O’Groats plus an extra 41 miles).

The significant challenge saw WO1 (RSM) Muir RLC raise funds for The RLC Association Trust in order to help provide support to serving and veteran RLC soldiers and their families in times of need.

Colonel RLC Reserves, Colonel Gillian Wilkinson QVRM VR commented: What a privilege to be able to run alongside WO1 (RSM) Muir for the final leg of his epic running challenge. His huge efforts, sustained every day over the last six months, and his commitment to raising funds for RLC Benevolence are truly inspirational. As a member of the Benevolence committee, I see how crucial the financial support can be. When our people face tough times, such support can transform their situation and improves lives. Well done WO1 Muir! Quite something for a man who says he doesn’t even like running!”

Corps SM Reserves, WO1 Amanda Ward added:It was a pleasure to have taken part in the final stage of WO1 (RSM) Muir’s fundraising journey. What a contribution he has made to the RLC Benevolence – he is an inspirational demonstration of selfless commitment that will benefit so many in times of need.”
