Army Apprenticeship Awards

The third Army Apprenticeship Awards at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst has recognised the best apprentices from across the Army.

The nominees, who have already been recognised as the best in their cap badges, were nominated for one of four categories; Intermediate, Advanced, Chartered Management Degree level and Apprentice Champions, reflecting all stages of the Army Apprenticeship.

This was the first year that the Army has recognised those taking part in the degree programme, which demonstrates how far soldiers in the Army can progress with qualifications alongside their day job.

Guest presenters at the awards included formed soldier, author and TV personality Phil Campion and NHS apprenticeship ambassador Jane Hadfield.

The Army Apprenticeship Programme publicly celebrates some of the Army’s very best soldiers’ and officers’ achievements.

Today 95% of all soldiers who join the Army are offered an apprenticeship with over 6,000 soldiers completing one of the 43 programmes available each year.
