Job Title:  Staff Personnel Selection Officer (SPSO)

Rank: Major

Initial Contract:  2 years (with a further 3 year contract available to 5 years)

Role: Responsible for all Corps recruit allocation between trades and capbadges, serving soldier change of trades, capbadge transfers and rejoins.  The SPSO interviews all soldiers going through the change of trade/transfer process and publicises RLC opportunities at Army Transfer Fairs around the UK and Germany.

Experience:  The successful applicant will have an understanding of the change of trade/transfer process and a good understanding of the soldier trade structure.

Salary:  £42k – £51k dependant on rank/seniority/qualifications

Location: The SPSO is based at RHQ The RLC, Dettingen House Deepcut and the post will move with the Headquarters to Worthy Down in 2017/18.
