Ex SAIF SAREEA 3 ops in Oman

151 RLC Reservist 2 Lt Sarah George has recently returned from Ex SAIF SAREEA 3 attached to 1 Armoured Infantry Brigade in Oman.

Sarah spent six weeks working with the Brigade HQ, learning more about how an Armoured Infantry Brigade works at all levels.

“It was a real privilege to have the opportunity to take part in the exercise. This world leading training enabled me to fulfill my potential as an Army Reserve Officer. I look forward to meeting the other challenges that lie ahead, as I step forward ready for my next assignment,” she said.

Sarah, based at 210 Transport Squadron Army Reserve Centre in Sutton, is currently on a Lead First Full Time Reserve Service Contract after recently commissioning at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst.

The UK has a long and established defence relationship with Oman, with strong bonds and shared values. Ex SAIF SAREEA 3 is the largest joint exercise of its kind for 15 years underpinning one of the UK’s bilateral strategic partnerships.
