The RLC Triathletes became Army Corp Champions for the first time this year.
The Army Standard Distance triathlon took part on the 28 Jun 17 at the Cotswold Water Park, lake 32.
It was open to both regular and reserve personnel, from all three services including all MOD civil service personnel.
With 148 athletes taking part and a representative team from all Corps it was a huge event to compete in against some of the best triathletes in the Army.
The event covered a 1500m swim in the Cotswold lake followed by a 41km cycle on public roads and concluding with a 10km run back around lake 32 for three gruelling loops.
The competition was fierce with the Royal Engineers and RAPTC putting out some excellent athletes, however The RLC was magnanimous and had four athletes in the top ten.
Lt Col C Stuart crossed the line in fourth place, Capt M Matthews in fifth, SSgt J Du Preez in sixth, Maj A Martin in eighth, Lt S Krarup in 16th and Sgt J Du Preez in 24th.
The win followed swiftly on the back of the first RLC Triathlon training camp which took place in the Sallanches region of the French Alps from 27 May to 3 Jun 17.
