29 REGIMENT RLC SHORTLISTED FOR LOGISTICS AWARD

29 Regiment Royal Logistic Corps has made The Logistics Awards’ shortlist. The awards are staged annually by Informa’s Markets Division and are a celebration of excellence in the UK’s logistics and supply chain sectors.

The awards, which recognise the most impressive achievements and innovative projects seen throughout industry over the last 12 months, is open to logistics operations and to companies that feature logistics as part of their operation. This includes logistics operators and companies, which contain a logistics division or team (for example, retailers). Since its inaugural edition in 2014, the event has attracted senior professionals from leading retailers, manufacturers and logistics operations.

The finalists have now been announced and 29 Regiment RLC has been shortlisted for the ‘Environment Award’. The criteria for judging the Environment Award category is as follows:

  • Evidence of measurable improvement in carbon reduction
  • Demonstration of efficient renewable energy use
  • Efforts made to protect and improve the environment with examples.

This shortlisting is a great achievement not only for the Regiment, but also for its colleagues in the Defence Infrastructure Organisation, civil servants, industry partners and the Army Basing & Infrastructure team as they all work together as “one station, one team and one family” to protect and preserve the environment for now and future generations.

Other categories in The Logistics Awards include the Innovation Award, New Facility Award, Operations Awards and Well-being Initiative Award.

All award winners will be announced on Wednesday 3rd March 2021 on SHD Logistics’ platforms.
