22 new recruits join The RLC

Twenty-two new recruits have been welcomed into The Royal Logistic Corps with a prestigious Passing Out Parade at Prince William of Gloucester Barracks in Grantham.

The new recruits were welcomed into The RLC by WO1 Johnstone, Corps SM AR and Lt Col Gifford, CO 158 Regiment.

Army Training Regiment Grantham is located in Lincolnshire and is the British Army’s key location for training the Army Reserve Phase 1 recruits.

Basic training is designed to teach everything an Army Reserve recruit needs to know to become an effective soldier and fulfill their role within the Army Reserve. This includes military terminology, drill and how to wear uniform, to physical fitness, weapon handling, first aid, field craft and map reading.

The course is intense, challenging and enjoyable. For those who pass it concludes with a prestigious Passing Out Parade in front of family, friends and unit representatives.
