A Driver from 1 Regiment leapt to the aid of a man hit by a car in Kettering demonstrating the calm quick thinking acquired from his Corps medical training.
Pte Moulton, ran to the aid of the man in his 50s, who had been hit by a maroon Citroen C4 and suffered serious leg injuries.
He told the Northampton Telegraph: “I saw the guy on the floor and instinct took over.”
Pte Moulton’s training came into play and he used his belt as a tourniquet to stem the bleeding until an ambulance arrived minutes later.
He said that his medical training has helped him before and it’s nothing he has to think about, the “training just kicks in.”
Pte Moulton, who lives in Kettering, has been in the Army for just under three years and is based in Bicester.
